1. Introduction

Welcome to eCompass (Social Paradigm Group). We are committed to protecting your personal data and your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you connect your advertising accounts (Google Ads, Meta Ads) and Shopify store to our platform.

2. Data We Collect via APIs

To provide our Profit Intelligence services, we request authorised access to your data through the following platforms:

  • Google Ads API: We collect the following Google Ads performance metrics: spend, ROAS, impressions, clicks, and conversion data to calculate your ROAS and marketing efficiency across channels.
  • Meta Marketing API: We collect the following Meta Marketing performance metrics: spend, ROAS, impressions, clicks, conversion data for the advertising account, campaigns and creatives to calculate your marketing efficiency and profit metrics across channels.
  • Shopify API: We access order history and sales data to calculate your net margins and unit economics.

Note: We do not store your platform passwords. Access is granted via secure OAuth tokens which you can revoke at any time.

3. How We Use Your Data

The information retrieved is used solely for the following purposes:

  • Generating unified profitability reports and real-time dashboards.
  • Calculating your Growth Quotient (GQ) and Reality Scores.
  • Providing automated recommendations to optimise your ad spend.
  • Internal system improvements to enhance data accuracy.

Google Ads API

We use Google Ads data only to provide and improve eCompass features, including analytics dashboards, performance reports, alerts, account health checks and optimization recommendations.

We do not use Google Ads data to create, edit or delete campaigns, ads, ad groups, keywords, budgets, billing settings, users or account settings.

Google Ads API currently uses the OAuth scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords for Google Ads API access. eCompass uses this access for reporting and analytics features. Our implementation is limited to reading authorized Google Ads account and performance data for user-facing analytics and recommendations.

We protect Google Ads data using technical and organizational safeguards, including HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest, role-based access controls, least-privilege access and secure storage of OAuth tokens. Access to Google Ads data by eCompass personnel is limited to authorized personnel who need access to operate, secure, support or troubleshoot the service.

Meta Marketing API

We use your Meta Marketing data only to provide eCompass features, including analytics dashboards, performance reports, alerts, account health checks and optimization recommendations.

eCompass uses the ads_read permission to retrieve read-only advertising performance metrics.

eCompass does not use the Meta integration to create, modify, pause or delete campaigns, ad sets, ads, budgets or other advertising assets.

We protect your Meta Marketing data using technical and organizational safeguards, including HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest, role-based access controls, least-privilege access and secure storage of OAuth tokens. Access to Meta Marketing data by eCompass personnel is limited to authorized personnel who need access to operate, secure, support or troubleshoot the service.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We never sell your data to third parties. Your data is strictly used to provide insights for your own business. We may share the data only with service providers that help us operate eCompass, such as cloud hosting, database, logging, security, support and analytics infrastructure providers. These providers may process data only on our behalf and only as necessary to provide or improve eCompass.

eCompass's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Data Deletion and Revocation

You are in full control of your data. You can disconnect any integration through the 'Settings' panel in your eCompass dashboard. After disconnection or account deletion, we will stop fetching new data and delete stored data.

We retain OAuth tokens while your integration remains connected. We retain reporting data for as long as necessary to provide eCompass analytics and recommendations.

Upon request, we will permanently delete all stored tokens and historical data associated with your account within 30 days. Backups may be retained for up to 90 days before automatic deletion.

5.1 Meta Marketing Data Deletion

To request deletion of data associated with your Meta Marketing integration, you can:

  • Disconnect the Meta Marketing integration from Settings → Integrations in your eCompass account; or
  • Email info@socialparadigmgroup.com from the email address associated with your eCompass account and request deletion of your Meta Marketing data.

Following a valid deletion request, we will delete Meta access tokens, connected advertising account identifiers, and Meta advertising/reporting data stored by eCompass that is associated with your account.

We will complete deletion from our active systems within 30 days. Data contained in backups may remain for up to 90 days before automatic deletion.

Deleting Meta integration data does not require deletion of your entire eCompass account unless you request account deletion separately.
